Oscar’s Story of Tiger Being Born

Laura spent the night with Mummy. Daddy woke me up very early in the morning around 6.30am. We dashed downstairs. I saw Mummy in the pool. She was birthing Tiger. I felt very excited for when he would be born. Mummy wasn’t screaming until another time in the day. I built a Lego house, then there was one very loud scream from Mummy and I ran downstairs to Mummy and Tiger was being born.

I thought it looked very scary. I said “Ugh, oh, that’s not very good with all that blood, why is there blood?” Daddy said “No, its good blood”. I saw Tiger’s head first, then the rest of the body came out into the water. He was very pink and there wasn’t a lot of blood on him. He cried a little bit and I touched him. I ran out of the room and I shouted “Yeah, yeah!!!!” running in the kitchen. Then I decorated the kitchen for Tiger being born and we had a party.

I was very pleased about the whole thing because it was very exciting seeing my brother being born and having a day off school. I said to my Daddy “I’m going to remember this for the rest of my life!
