  Description
This 16.5 acre mature gravel pit is the Park Authority's newest fishery and is ideally suited to anglers of all abilities.

Although it has a limited number of swims, each has been constructed to an exceptional standard and offer a number of easily accessible features including gravel bars, expansive beds of lilies, reed beds and sunken gravel barges.

  Species
TThe water was once noted for bream and tench well into double figures and a number of these are still present and potentially even bigger.

In excess of 100 fast growing, pure English carp have been stocked up to 13lb in weight. These should grow rapidly in such a naturally rich environment and we anticipate in excess of 6lb gain per fish each year.

  Hotspots
The pit has been pegged to ensure all swims contain potential hotspots. Look down onto the fishery from steeper banks and you'll see many of these features.

  Restrictions
A limit of just 33 season permits will become available for this pit, which will be reviewed annually. There is a limit of three rods per angler. The fishery can be fished all year round.
